Diagnostic Imaging – FAQ

Below are a few questions we commonly receive from patients and doctors about Elite Medical Imaging.

Do you take insurance?

We Work For You, Not The Insurance Companies

Each insurance company is different, and each company’s employee benefit coverage is different. Often clients who participate in a Flex Spending Account Benefit are able to file a claim for reimbursement for for a preventive diagnostic imaging screening.

How do I pay for my medical diagnostic imaging screening?

We do not accept payments directly from any insurance company since it would dramatically increase our overhead costs and make it impossible to keep our screening fee low, while passing those savings on to you.

Therefore, payment is due at the time of service.  We accept cash, checks and all major credit/debit cards as the method of payment.

Why are your prices so low?

At Elite Medical Imaging our business method operates on low fixed costs.  Because we are a “mobile diagnostic imaging company” we do not have excessive operating or overhead costs like most large hospitals or outpatient diagnostic centers.  This allows us to offer individuals who may have no insurance, high deductible or co-insurance plans an affordable preventive screening option without sacrificing quality of service.

Do You Charge Any Additional Fees?

We offer a Full Preventive Screening Package for $150.00 or patients may chose individual areas of the body to be screened for $49.00 each. (Individual areas include: Carotid arteries, thyroid, abdominal aorta, liver, spleen, gallbladder or kidneys)

Many Houston hospitals and diagnostic imaging facilities typically have two separate fees for medical imaging services.  One fee is for the facility and another fee is for the radiologist who interprets your results.  We have no additional charges or hidden fees for our medical imaging services.
